Testing Procedure

You may put your dances on a DVD and send them in for your test.
Suggested Study Time: 2-4 Months
Passing Grade: 80%

Test #1 (On a DVD, 50% of grade): You will create and perform an eight 8-count dance for each of the 5 levels. You may reuse your favorite moves in Levels 1 & 2 but you must use all different moves for Levels 3-5. You will be graded on proficiency, attention to detail and dancing ability.

Test #2 (On a DVD, 20% of grade): You will put together a cool dance using a combination of the Hip Hop Instruction Curriculum and your own ideas. You will be graded on proficiency, dancing ability and creativeness.

Test #3 (Test Emailed to You, 30% of grade): You will take a 50-question multiple choice test that will measure your ability to assess different situations during a hip hop dance class. All this information is available in the Hip Hop Instruction: Official Teacher's Manual.

IF YOU PASS: You will be a Certified Hip Hop Instructor and...
1) Given a Completion Certificate
2) Added to our online database
3) Given a Hip Hop Instruction Hat
4) On our list for teaching across the country when we get calls.  Let’s face it we can’t always be in every city at once so we sometimes use our certified instructors to teach & do choreography all across the country.
5) Allowed to use us as a reference when applying for teaching jobs, we will gladly talk you up!
